We mount pickups onto injection-moulded frames. Once a pickup is screwed and soldered onto the frame, it can be magnetically attached and detached to the frame's counterpart on the guitar top. Strong magnets and four contact points on both sides provide stability, strength and endurance.
We sell the frames and pickup back plates separately so you can fit the Guitar-X system into a scratch build or retrofit into an existing guitar. You can also mount your own pickups onto a back plate to use with the Guitar-X system.
You simply turn over your guitar and pull out the pickup from its frame with two fingers. Drop in your new (pickup-swapping-ready) pickup. Done. It takes no more than a couple of seconds. No tools, no soldering, no removing strings. Incredibly easy and fully reversible!
Yes, it is compatible with most Relish guitars, although polarity may need to be checked to ensure switching is correct.
